Bushel Network continues ERP partner expansion with addition of Oakland Corporation

  • Bushel, the leader in agribusiness ERP software integrations, has partnered with more than 15 grain accounting software companies focused on agriculture.
  • These partnerships build the largest network for agricultural data, helping agribusinesses and farmers manage relationships and sales more effectively, and allowing ag retailers and grain buyers to better engage with farmers.
  • Oakland and Bushel’s partnership provides a technology stack that digitizes how agribusinesses operate to provide efficiencies for both agribusinesses and their farmer customers.

FARGO, N.D. (Dec. 19, 2023) – Bushel, an independently-owned software technology company focused on developing digital tools for the agricultural supply chain, announced the expansion of its ERP partnership network through an integration with Oakland Corporation’s FarmerData. Oakland customers can now have more robust digital tools for their agribusiness staff and farmer customers.

Since 2017, Bushel has partnered with more than 15 ERP software companies focused on agriculture. These integrations help manage workflows from retail sales through the grain contract process. Bushel’s platform helps manage customer account data, drives more grain offers through digital enablement, and provides contact management through text messaging, emails, and push notifications.

These integrations also make grain and ag retail data more accessible to farmers through a robust set of customer online portals, allowing them to view cash bids and manage scale tickets, invoices, fuel and feed prepays, grain contracts, settlements, and more. Farmers can make offers to sell grain, sign contracts, and send and receive payments all online.

The first Oakland ERP customers joining the Bushel Network include:

  • 218 Grain, based in Crawfordsville, IA, with one location
  • AgVantage FS, based in Waverly, IA, with 41 locations
  • Farmers Cooperative Elevator (FAC), based in Arcadia, IA, with four locations
  • Lesterville Grain & Feed, based in Lesterville, SD, with two locations
  • Mid-Iowa Cooperative, based in Conrad, IA, with 13 locations

“Joining the Bushel Network allows our staff to better engage with our farmer customers, with tools that enable us to better manage those relationships. It also will give our team a more holistic view of scale tickets and settlements, helping us with our efficiencies. It’s a step forward in aligning our services with the evolving digital landscape of the agricultural supply chain,” said Joel Benson, Data Integration Specialist at Mid-Iowa Cooperative.

Oakland has a strong market presence in Iowa and the surrounding regions. Joining the Bushel Network as an ERP partner allows even more agribusinesses to gain additional value through commercial grain sales automation and ag retail sales enablement. Additionally, farmers who subscribe to Bushel Farm will unlock data automation for improved grain marketing decision-making.

“Partnerships and ERP integrations are the crucial connections needed to create the efficiencies and digital experience agribusinesses expect today. By connecting with Oakland’s FarmerData API, Bushel not only strengthens its network but empowers agribusinesses to better digitally engage with their farmers and create more efficient operations for their staff. In this digital era, collaboration isn’t just a choice—it’s a necessary part of connecting agriculture’s digital infrastructure,” said Ford Kirk, Director of Partnerships at Bushel.
