In our latest update, we’re rolling out features aimed at giving both agribusinesses and farmers more control, better insights, and simpler workflows. From managing field names on scale tickets to new payment options in Bushel Wallet, these enhancements are designed to streamline everyday tasks. Read on for more details and to see how these tools can make your operations smoother.
Agribusinesses
Creating, adding, and managing field names on scale tickets now live
With this update, farmers can assign field names to new tickets, and also create, edit, and delete field names. If an agribusiness has this feature enabled, farmers can create field names and assign these field names to scale tickets. If you don’t currently have this feature enabled but would like to turn it on, please reach out to our Support Team at [email protected]. These assigned field names are also included in the .csv export.
Customer name displayed in customer view
Customer name is now displayed in addition to phone number and/or email in customer view. If there are multiple names listed, the first name on the list is used.
New payments experience for staff users
A new experience for agribusiness staff users is now available. With this update, you will see new Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable screens in the staff view of the web portal. In addition, you have the ability to schedule a deferred settlement payment for a future date. This new experience is now enabled for all customer currently using Bushel’s payments management solution.
Select funding source in payments
When a farmer is making a payment on an invoice or a one-time payment, they can now select which linked funding source should be used for the transaction. Selection of a funding source is sent back to Bushel WalletTM, giving that farmer more control over their payments through Bushel Wallet and encouraging the farmer to link multiple funding sources to Wallet.
Farmers now have visibility and control for using specific funding sources (checking account, savings account, line of credit) for certain transactions. This feature can also surface the dollar amount available in the farmer’s Bushel Wallet balance and lines of credit, giving farmers’ advanced notice if a payment would fail due to insufficient funds.
Analytics for customer portal and real-time unique visitor metrics
Real-time unique visitor metrics are now available. This means you can track who is using your app as it happens. With real-time data, you can see how many unique visitors are interacting with your app at any given moment and track month-over-month changes. This gives you a better understanding of your user engagement and the ability to make quicker, data-driven decisions for your agribusiness.
Scale ticket automatic filter
In an effort to improve the loading performance of the scale ticket list view when first accessing the feature, we implemented an automatic filter for the last 12 months for all customers. You can adjust this filter as needed.
View app version under ‘Settings’
Both authenticated and unauthenticated users can now view their app version under ‘Settings.’ This can help the Bushel support team troubleshoot with users and restore legacy native app functionality.
Note: This is for mobile apps only, not the web portal on desktop.
Farmers
Reports in all Bushel Farm packages
We’ve updated the Bushel Farm app to make the Reports feature available across all paid subscription plans, not just the Business plan. Now, all subscribers can easily export key data—like Monthly Rainfall Summaries, Activity Costs, Field Season reports, and more—to share or analyze in other systems. This update helps farmers get more out of the data they store in Bushel Farm, making it easier to track performance and make informed decisions. View all Bushel Farm plans here.
