With harvest fast approaching in the heartland, now’s the time to get ready for the demanding days ahead. And just like you need to prepare your team and equipment for the round-the-clock grind, your digital strategy needs to get geared up as well.
Here are a few tips to help save you time and increase app adoption during the busy harvest rush:
Get your push notifications ready
Your growers are the most active in your app during harvest, so it’s the perfect opportunity to send push notifications with information about harvest hours, cash bid updates, grain handling safety reminders, or whatever you need to keep them informed and engaged.
Build a call list of engaged growers
Reach out to active users in your app by downloading a report of logged-in users. Click the “Reports” link in the Bushel Admin tool, then click “Download Report.” If your facility utilizes Bushel Insights™ for Grain Origination, your originators can access powerful tools for outreach efforts and strengthening grower engagement.
Educate your team
Does your grain buying staff know about your app and how it works? If not, feel free to reach out and schedule a training call. Your Customer Success Manager is also here to update your team if you just need a refresher.
Host grower tutorials
Devote some time during your pre-harvest marketing meetings to teach growers how to use your offerings. If these are remote conversations, your Customer Success Manager can be there to answer questions and provide a quick demo.
Run an adoption contest
Our customers have had great success leveraging internal promotions to drive app adoption. Use your social channels to announce a prize giveaway to a lucky user who logs into your app.
Think outside the box
No two grain facilities are the same, so there might be alternative adoption strategies that better fit your unique operation. Reach out to your Customer Success Manager to brainstorm ideas.
Gather necessary information for support
On the off chance you need to report an issue, make sure to have the required information prepared before you submit a support ticket. Here’s what you should have ahead of time to expedite the process:
- Phone Number
- Account number
- Any missing data points (ids/numbers)
Additional information that isn’t required (but is very helpful) would be:
- Device type
- App version number
- Screenshots of the issue
Our harvest support hours are 9 am – 7 pm Monday through Friday, and 9 am to 6 pm on the weekends. You can submit a support ticket 24/7 by clicking here.Â
