- Reduces grain originators’ workload, creates time-savings for higher-value activities
- Eliminates manual contract entry for filled offers
- The implementation of this feature at Mountain View Co-Op results in substantial time savings for employees
FARGO, N.D., May 31, 2023 – Bushel, an independently-owned software technology company focused on developing digital tools for the agricultural supply chain, announced the newest feature of its offer management workflow solution for grain buyers: automated grain purchase contract creation. When offers are filled, contracts are created automatically in the buyer’s grain accounting software, helping address workforce gaps.
This new feature simplifies the grain industry’s process by automatically inputting contract data into their accounting system, saving staff a significant amount of time. This automation not only addresses the labor shortfall, but also mitigates duplicated efforts and errors from manual entry.
Mountain View Co-Op, based in Montana, piloted the new feature to help free up staff time and discover new ways to be more efficient in their day-to-day operations. They integrate all offers submitted through Bushel into their accounting software. Between contract creation and eSign capabilities, Bushel has helped Mountain View reduce risk of contract non-performance and create efficiencies in their origination process.
“The ability to automatically create contracts allows our team to save time and spend our resources towards strengthening relationships with our customers. By automating our contract creation process, our staff will be able to better engage with farmers,” said Jake McFarlin, grain division manager at Mountain View Co-op.
“We’re entirely focused on helping our grain customers work more efficiently and serve farmers in a better way. This involves automating processes in the ag supply chain, like automatic contract creation. We’re continuing to look for new ways to automate more tasks to free up their time and better serve their customers,” Bushel CEO Jake Joraanstad said.
